Banana Berry Almond Milk Smoothie

This recipe is for one person. Double the ingredients for two people.

-3 Frozen Organic Bananas
-A generous amount of frozen berries (blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, whatever you desire)
-2 cups of Refrigerated Unsweetened Almond Milk (any brand or homemade)

Put the milk in first. Grind up the bananas, then throw in the berries. Consume it like a McDonalds shake, but without all of the death ingredients.

  1. A side note: You need a strong blender that can chop ice. In 2011, that's a blender that usually costs around 100 bones. You can use a regular old blender, but it might be really frustrating trying to chop up the frozen fruit. Please don't add sugar or I'll be forced to "hit".

  3. i love smoothies, especially for breakfast. i usually add plain yogurt to mine, so will try the almond milk instead. our blender creates a burny smell if i add too much ice, so an upgrade might be worth the investment. carol lani- what kind of blender do you have for your regular smoothie-making? i remember it being fabulous. and carter, what brand do you have?

  4. I recently bought the Cuisinart Smartpower Duet Deluxe Blender/Food Processor combo. It was around 90 bones or so. I bought it at Bed Bath. Just make sure it makes a point that it can crush ice and can be used for cocktails.

  6. For that smoothie I used a bag of mixed berries: blueberries, blackberries and strawberries.
